Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the topographic characteristics of the Nuratau State Nature Reserve and the dynamics of vegetation cover (NDVI) over the period 2005–2025. Using MODIS remote sensing data, 20-year NDVI changes were analyzed through the Mann–Kendall τ test, Sen’s slope estimator, and Z-score statistics. The spatial distribution of vegetation trends was mapped and evaluated with statistical confidence levels. In addition, the topographic characteristics of the study area (elevation, slope, and aspect) were examined by classifying DEM-derived data into statistical groups. The results of the research provide an important scientific basis for assessing ecological changes in mountainous regions, improving vegetation monitoring, and developing biodiversity conservation strategies
